Potiphar was the Egyptian governor who took Joseph in, and had favor on him and promoted him,

and Potiphar’s wife also had favor on him and …well, you know, she liked him ALOT. 

She tried to seduce him but it didn’t work, Joseph literally had to run outta there, she grabbed hold of his cloak, and kept it. She could not handle the rejection so she lied and said that Joseph came on to HER, she was believed for a time, resulting in Joseph being thrown into the prison.
